What started out as a hot Oakland Pop Up, Smokin’ Woods BBQ, quickly became a full-blown restaurant serving “Bay Area” BBQ inspired by Texas and Kansas City. Pitmaster, James Woodard’s menu includes brisket, pork ribs, chicken, salmon and beef links cooked over cherry and oak. His finger-licking good sauce is strictly optional. And, the sides like Mac ‘n Cheese and Baked Beans are not to be missed.
