Zachary’s Chicago Pizza

Not to be confused with “Sicilian” style, “Stuffed Crust” or other “deep dish” pizzas, Zachary’s Stuffed Chicago Style pizza is something else altogether. A thin layer of their house-made pizza dough is tucked into a deep-dish pizza pan. They fill the pie with the highest quality cheese and other fresh toppings. Another thin layer of dough is then added to cover the filling. The pizza is topped with their zesty, diced tomato sauce and is slowly cooked. The top layer of dough will melt into the cheese and seal in flavor as their flaky, buttery crust bakes until it is golden brown.

Zachary’s Thin Style pizza is a great choice for those who prefer a more traditional pizza. Their fresh, house-made pizza dough is rolled to a moderate thickness and dusted with cornmeal. A specially seasoned, hearty diced tomato sauce is then added.

Beit Rima

Beit Rima

One of NY Times Best San Francisco Restaurants 2023

Beit Rima has drawn crowds for “Arabic comfort food” like muhummara, fattoush, and fresh, hand-kneaded bread. Beit Rima translates to “Rima’s house.” (The chef’s mother’s name is Rima.) Meals here really do feel like a feast prepared by an accomplished home cook. In other words, the food is all comfort. The menu is an ode to Palestinian and Jordanian flavors: Expect simple, satisfying dishes; flatbreads scattered thick with za’atar; fresh, crunchy fattoush; and grilled kebabs.

If you want to try a lot of things, the mezze sampler comes with a bunch of standards like hummus, labneh, falafel, baba ganoush, pickles and muhammara that you’ll want to dip their hand-kneaded bread into on repeat.

With an hours-long wait, Daeho is San Francisco's most popular Korean restaurant. Daeho prides itself on being the “King of Kalbijjim,” a simmering stew of braised beef short ribs that has a whole history behind it.

Kalbijjim was a feast fit for the kings of the Joseon dynasty of Korea for roughly 500 years and remains a meal largely enjoyed by Korean families during holidays and celebrations today.

Prepared just right, kalbijjim is dynamite in a dish. And one restaurant doing it especially well is Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup.

Little Star Pizza

Little Star Pizza is famous for its delicious Chicago-style deep dish pizza which is consistently voted Guardian's Best of the Bay Pizza. They also have an extended menu including thin and gluten-free pizzas, Detroit-style pizzas as well as salads, appetizers, and sandwiches.

According to the East Bay Express, "What makes the pizza great is the addition of cornmeal to the dough, yielding a crunchy, wonderfully textured crust every time. Then there’s the sauce, which is chunky and tart — but not too tart — and the layers of stretchy, high-quality mozzarella."

Orders close Monday at 6pm. Woodside pickup time: 5-5:45pm; Los Altos pickup time: 5:15-6pm, Palo Alto pickup time: 5:30-6:15pm.

Pizzas are half-baked. Baking instructions are included.
